Zaidu Sanusi named in Champions League Team of the Week

Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi has been named to the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week for Matchday 4.

Porto opened the scoring for Porto in their 2-0 win against French club Olympic Marseille at the Orange Velodrome on Wednesday night.

The Nigerian international shot home at point-blank range in the 39th minute after his initial effort was stopped by Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

It was the left-back’s first goal for the Dragons after their play from Santa Clara this summer.

Sanusi is the only Porto player on the short list.

He has appeared in all four of Porto’s Champions League games this season.

Three players from the German club Borussia Monchengladbach made the list. Are; Nico Elvedi, Oscar Wendt and Lars Stindl.

Duo from Barcelona; Martin Braithwaite and Sergio Dest were also included, while Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) Kingsley Coman were also part of the team of the week.
