Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has returned to Napoli to receive further treatment for his shoulder injury.
The 21-year-old was forced to abandon the Super Eagles 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Sierra Leone on Friday after dislocating his shoulder.
Osimhen, who was replaced by Paul Onuachu, was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
He traveled to Italy on Sunday morning and is not available for the reverse game against the Leone Stars at Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown on Tuesday.
Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis has also been excluded from the game with a knee injury.
Osimhen scored Nigeria’s second goal in a 4-4 draw at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
He has now scored four goals and posted an assist in three playoff appearances.
