Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has said they face a test of their mental strength against Leicester City.
Hodgson says Palace will need to show his inner strength to respond to Saturday’s loss at Aston Villa with a win over Leicester City on Monday.
“You can always lose two games in a row in this league,” he said at his pre-Leicester press conference. “I’m not worried that we are a particularly inconsistent team that doesn’t have a clear idea of what they’d like to do, but the results color the whole judgment and the last two results have been bad.
“There is no simple answer to how disappointment is survived and the effect it will have on people’s confidence, the effect on their mood.
“Somehow we have to find the mental strength to make sure that when we go out on Monday and play in Leicester, we ask them questions and cause a lot more trouble for them than we cause Aston Villa.”
