Rangers records best start to premiership campaign in 53 years

Glasgow Rangers' 4-0 win over Aberdeen at the weekend has left Steven Gerrard's side 11 points ahead of Celtic atop the Premiership.

The Glasgow Rangers continued their impressive start to the 2020-2021 season with another beating, this time from Aberdeen on Sunday.

Super Eagles duo Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo participated in the game as the Gers continue to enjoy their best start to the season in 53 years.

The victory took Steven Gerrard’s team 11 points clear at the top in what has been a dominant season over the Celtics.

Rangers lead the Premiership this season with 41 points from 15 games; three more than at this point in the last season.

Balogun, who joined the team in the summer, was proud of the team’s progress.

“Three huge points, well done guys @RangersFC,” he posted on social media after the game.

Balogun also helped the Rangers to another defensive masterclass Sunday with another impressive clean sheet.

With their inclusion, Gers’ defense has been much tighter, they have conceded just three goals so far this season but have yet to leave a single goal at home in eight games this season.

They have recorded 16 clean sheets in all competitions so far this season.
