Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that on defense they must be at their best against Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy on Sunday.
The Reds will be without key defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, among others, as they have suffered injuries throughout the hectic soccer schedule.
The reigning champions host current league leaders at Anfield and Klopp praised Foxes leader Vardy ahead of the crucial clash.
“His speed first and foremost,” Klopp replied when asked about the threat from Vardy.
“How he uses that and how smart he is, how he’s developed his game over the years, plays well on the back line and takes risks.
“His technical level is very high, Jamie is a suitable player.”
Klopp added: “Last year they showed how good they can be and this, again, slightly changed their style.
“They are a good example of how you can deal with an injury crisis, they have a good idea of how they want to play. This year they have more experience ”.
