Alex Iwobi has reacted after scoring in Everton’s 2-1 away win over Wolves to end a 37-game goal drought in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old Carlo Ancelotti’s team, inspired by the Nigerian international, achieved victory after scoring six minutes into the match at the Molineux Stadium.
The wolves regained their level in the 14th minute through Ruben Neves, who opened his foot and controlled a volley from inside the area.
However, Michael Keane sealed the win for Everton with 13 minutes remaining when he appeared at the back post and drove hard home through Rui Patricio to make it 2-1.
Super eagles Striker Iwobi, who took to his social media platform to celebrate after ending his 15-month goal drought in the Premier League, said so sweet ‘to score again’.
With the victory, Everton rise to fourth place in the Premier League standings with 32 points from 17 games and are only four points behind the new toppers, Manchester United.
Iwobi would hope to bring his scoring to Villa Park, where Everton is a guest of Aston Villa on Sunday.
