After scoring in his first games for Rivers United, forward Godwin Aguda says he wants to stay in shape and continue to help the club.
Aguda joined the Port Harcourt-based club in September after leaving his previous club, Al-Washm, and has been part of the club’s success story on the continent.
The former has scored for the Rangers’ international forward in three consecutive CAF Confederation Cup games for Stanley Eguma’s team, including a 2-0 win over the Bloemfontein Celtics.
Speaking to reporters about his brilliant start in life in the Pride of Rivers color, Aguda said he is delighted that things are going according to plan and looks forward to continuing his goal-scoring approach.
“I am happy to score the third goal in the club’s third game. I want to go into the game with that in mind and fortunately it happened. “
“I’m happy with how things are going at the moment, I can’t even explain the feeling, scoring and helping the team is a great joy and I want to continue. “He told brila.net
Aguda will return to the limelight on Sunday as Rivers United will begin their 2020-2021 national campaign against their former Rangers International from Enugu.
