Nigeria’s senior men’s national basketball team, D’Tiger’s, will arrive in Kigali ahead of the 2020 Afrobasket championship this Monday.
D’Tigers resumed training last week and are expected to land in Kigali this afternoon for competition.
The championship will also start this week and Nigeria is in the same group as South Sudan, Mali and Rwanda.
Meanwhile, head coach Mike Brown will greet the team as he travels ahead of the contingent in Kigali, the venue for the competition.
Brown landed in Kigali on Sunday with his assistant John Kester, who joined him from the United States.
D’Tigers won the championship in 2015 and finished second in 1997, 1999, 2003 and 2017.
