Christian Obodo’s former Serie A club Fiorentina to sign as a guest to the Super Eagles Kingsley Ehizibue in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old defender has exceeded the requirement with eight appearances for Cologne this season so far.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina would contact Cologne for Ehizibue for a possible change to the Artemio Franchi Stadium from RheinEnergieSTADION.
Ehizibue appeared 31 times in his first season for Cologne, leading to Genort Rohr’s hand on the Super Eagles call following his decision to switch his allegiance to the Netherlands, which he has represented at the Under 21 level.
The German-born star was unable to appear for Nigeria against Sierra Leone in March last year due to a worldwide coronavirus outbreak that halted soccer activities.
Obodo played for Fiorentina between the 2004-05 season, was played 39 times and scored two goals in the process.
