Nigeria defender Brian Idowu was in action for Khimki, who claimed a vital 2-1 away win at the UFA, in the Russian Premier League on Monday.
Now they are consecutive victories for Khimki, who defeated Rubin Kazan 2-0 before the international break.
Idowu was involved for 90 minutes in the victory, which is Khimki’s fourth of the season after 15 league games.
Ilya Kukharchuk opened the scoring for Khimki in the 5th minute before Alexander Troshechkin made it 2-0 in the 37th minute.
With seven minutes left in the game, Bojan Jokic scored a goal for the UFA, but Khimki held on to all three points.
The victory brought Khimki to 12th place with 15 points, two points above the relegation tiebreaker position in the 16-team league.
