Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has provided an update on the fitness of key midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
The defensive midfielder was expected to be out until Christmas at the earliest with an adductor injury.
He had surgery for the problem, and Rodgers now says he could be fit for his team’s game against Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League next Thursday.
Rodgers also spoke about the fitness of other key players.
“Timothy [Castagne] He hasn’t traveled, so we’re monitoring him over the course of this week to see where he is before Monday’s game (against Fulham), ”Rodgers said.
“Wilf is progressing very well, so we will see the possibility of him when we play in Ukraine, so it will be good news.
“Cags [Caglar Soyuncu], it’s a bit further ahead, but we’ll see where it is in the next few weeks.
“They are progressing very well, but obviously none of them are here to play.”
