Now, more facts have emerged as Nicodemus Nomyange, 40, set himself and his girlfriend Shininenge Pam on fire, The Nation reports.

Nomyange and Pam died from the fire that occurred on Saturday in Inikpi Street, a high-level area of ​​Makurdi.

Their bodies were taken to the Makurdi Federal Medical Center and deposited by agents of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were at the scene.

The Nation’s investigation revealed that Nomyange has been dating Pam for some time.

It emerged that Nomyange, who is married with children, proposed to him to marry Pam, who according to sources rejected him on the grounds that she preferred to marry a single, unmarried man.

The rebuttal wounded Nomyange, who made his way to his apartment Saturday night and set it on fire after locking everyone up.

The separated lovers were burned despite the neighbors’ efforts to save them.

While Nomyange died at the scene, Pam later died on the way to the hospital.
