The Biafra League of Nations, BNL, has revealed that the action of the former inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, has indicated that the federal government is willing to do everything possible to ensure that all Igbo agitators are killed.
This statement was made after former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu, ordered the deployment of thousands of military troops and security squads in Imo state in the wake of the prison attack.
Let us remember that a few days ago, a group of unknown men, suspected of being members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, attacked and razed the Owerri prison, Imo state.
More than 2,000 prisoners were also reported to have escaped and fled the Owerri correctional facility during the attack.
However, the national deputy director of the Biafra group, Ebuta Akor Takon, who did not welcome the order, denounced the actions of the gunmen and stated that his organization is currently investigating their motives.
In a statement, he said: “Because the IPOB has denied involvement and no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks on uniformed men in the southeastern states, Cross River and Akwa Ibom, it is safe to assume that the federal government is sponsoring the attacks in order to label all the inhabitants of Biafra as terrorists. “
The Biafra group further claimed that the former IGP was wrong to assume that members of the Biafra Indigenous People, IPOB, were behind the attack on the prison.
The group claimed that Mohammed Adamu did not carry out a proper investigation to find out who is responsible for the attack.
However, the Biafran group advised the federal government not to go after any Igbo agitator, or the innocent of Biafran.
“The federal government must not gamble with the lives of the people of the old East of Nigeria,” the group warned.
