US President-elect Joe Biden has urged President Donald Trump to immediately sign the COVID-19 relief bill.
On Saturday, the Democrat accused Trump of delay despite the difficult times Americans are facing.
Emphasizing the importance of the bill, Biden noted that it would keep small businesses afloat, expand unemployment benefits and help struggling families.
“It is the day after Christmas and millions of families do not know if they will be able to make ends meet due to President Donald Trump’s refusal to sign a financial aid bill passed by Congress with an overwhelming bipartisan majority.
“This abdication of responsibility has devastating consequences. This bill is fundamental. It must become law now. “
Biden hinted at plans to take additional action after taking office in January.
The former senator listed the funding for the distribution and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as increased testing capacity.
