No fewer than seven people have been killed in a morning attack in the Jemaa local government area of Kaduna state.
Gunmen stormed Ungwan Bido village on Sunday and killed the residents. Two children have not yet been found after the attack.
Samuel Aruwa, Commissioner for Homeland Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the story to ChannelsTV, stating that the attackers set four houses on fire.
The attack follows the alleged murder of a Fulani herdsman, Isiyaka Saidu, from Ungwan Pah village on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said he had ordered the State Emergency Management Agency to urgently provide relief materials to citizens whose homes were burned and those injured in the attack.
