Repentant Looters Seek Forgiveness From Plateau State Govt As They Return Stolen Items

Some people who looted items from public and private warehouses after the end of SARS protests were kidnapped by thugs across the country have returned the items in their possession, asking the Plateau state government for forgiveness.

The repentant people were led to the new Government House in Rayfield Jos by a popular evangelist from the Church of Christ in the Nations (COCIN) Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, who explained that they made confession during a prayer revival organized at the High School Zang Bukuru. , Jos South Local Government.

The clergyman said that more than 2,000 people came forward after the gospel hearing where he preached against the recent looting and vandalism that affected public and private properties in the state.

This action, according to him, is not only an invitation of God’s wrath against the suspects but against the entire State. He said that the hijacking of the ENDSARS protest is a plan of the devil to sink God’s will for Plateau State, which cannot be left without intercession.

Moved by the message, some of the people involved in the looting repented and decided to bring some of the items they still had in their possessions as a token of restitution and a request for mercy from God and the Plateau state government.

Reverend Dachomo appealed to Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong to moderate justice with mercy by granting forgiveness to repentant individuals who volunteered for the revival meeting with the promise not to participate in such acts again.
