Nigeria online news It reports that Organized Labor abandoned a meeting with the Federal Government on Sunday about the recent increase in the price of fuel and electricity rates.

The meeting was said to have about five minutes before Organized Labor, made up of the Nigerian Labor Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, went on strike.

The federal government was attended by the Minister of Labor and Employment, Chris Ngige; The Minister of State for Labor, Festus Keyamo; The Minister of State for Petroleum, Timiprye Sylva; The Minister of State for Energy, Goddy Agba and the Secretary of Government, Boss Mustapha.

TUC President Quadri Olaleye told Channels TV that the federal government was dishonest and played with the gallery and painted the organized work in a bad way before public officials and the public.

Representing the Nigerian Labor Congress was its Vice President, Najeem Yasin.

According to him, this meeting was not going to be business as usual because Labor had seen the government’s insincerity in putting them at risk.

He said they were taking them for a walk, that he couldn’t continue.

We are in the process of debate, for more than three months. And they made an announcement raising the price of fuel again. And no one but NNPC. When has NNPC been given authority to increase the price of the PMS? This is unacceptable.

“The meeting agenda is not well prioritized. And for that, we are leaving the meeting. We will not continue, we will return to our body and we will communicate with you in the next line of action ”. he said.

According to the Minister of Labor and Employment, Ngige, “We feel that the increase item in PMS, having been included as an additional item, would have satisfied everyone.”
