Nnamdi kanu

Federal Superior Court sitting in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, he is ready to launch the trial of the leader of the outlaws Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi kanu.

Newsonlineng Nigeria reports that the IPOB leader’s trial has been making arrangements for November 26 and will see five prosecution witnesses lined up to testify against Kanu.

This was discovered in a hearing notice given to the prosecution team at the attorney general’s office and Kanu’s attorney. Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

Newsonlineng Nigeria remember that Justice Binta Nyako who ordered Kanu’s arrest and ordered his trial on charges of perfidious felony in her absence, reversed in March 2019. She relied on the order that Kanu not appear in court since April 25, 2017.

In recognition of the development, Kanu’s lawyer, Ejiofor, emphasized that Kanu’s disappearance was the result of soldiers ‘invasion of his home in Afara-Ukwu near Umuahia, in Abia state, during’ Operation Python Dance II ‘of the military organized to quell the unrest for the Republic of Biafra in September 2017.

Judge Nyarko overruled Ejiofor’s objection, citing that there was no link between the military invasion and the disappearance of the IPOB leader.

This comes after the court chaired by Judge Nyarko ordered on February 20, 2018, the separation of the trial of the IPOB leader from that of his original co-defendants to stop further delays resulting from Kanu’s continued absence from the court.

The court had ordered the bonds for Kanu to present to the IPOB leader in court or to prove why they should not lose their N100m bonds. Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe is among Kanu’s Bail Bonds.
