The Movement for the Updating of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has criticized the governors of the southeast for what the group described as their disregard for the ideals of the Biafra cause.
In an interview, MASSOB National Publicity Secretary Sunny Okereafor said it was unfortunate that instead of Southeast governors joining MASSOB and other groups to update Biafra, they were talking about an Igbo presidency.
According to Okereafor, “It is a pity that the governors of the Southeast speak of the Nigerian president of Igbo extraction instead of joining MASSOB and other groups to get Biafra.
‘Let me tell you that if you had not known, no Igbo man will be able to rule Nigeria now or in the near future.
“The Hausa / Fulani have come up with plans for how they will rule Nigeria perpetually, so it would be foolhardy for any Igbo man to think that he can rule this country called Nigeria.”
“Many prominent Igbo men have tried in the past and failed and governors should not think they will succeed.”
Okereafor said the truth is that more than 90 percent of the people of the Southeast want Biafra and the governors to do the opposite, it would be contrary to the wishes of the people.
He called on the governors to recover their steps and work in the interest of their people.
