The National Youth Services Corps (NYSC) warned the Nollywood film industry about wearing corporate member uniforms in movies.
According to Christian Oru, deputy director of legal services for the corps, it is now mandatory for the Nigerian film industry to ensure proper documentation to the commission before using the crested vests in film shooting.
Mr. Oru made this known during a meeting between the National Board of Film and Video Censors (NFVCB) and creative industry stakeholders on enabling laws and strengthening professional guilds and associations in Lagos.
He said;
“For any filmmaker If you want any of your casts to wear the corps members uniform while filming movies, we require that you write a letter of request to NYSC to indicate your interest.
We also require that you submit your script to us for proper investigation to find out how NYSC will be represented.
We know that the script is its copyright and we will do our best toconfidentiality “.
