An explosion rocked Governor Wike’s father church in Rivers State Sunday morning.

Nigeria online news reports that an explosion has rocked a church owned by Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike’s father in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Some five thugs reportedly sneaked into the Christian Universal Church International at 25 Azikiwe Street Mile, 3 Diobu, on Saturday night, November 28, and detonated the explosives that were suspected of being dynamite.

The report added that a significant part of the church was damaged by the blast, causing panic in the area.

Meanwhile, two of the criminals suspected of being related to the blast are said to have been detained by a vigilante group and handed over to the police, although neither group claimed responsibility for the vile act.
