Aisha Buhari is a voice of conscience calling politicians to be better –Tinubu

The head of the Congress of All Progressives, Bola Tinubu, says that the president’s wife, Ms. Aisha Buhari, is a voice of conscience calling on politicians to be their best.

He also said that Ms Buhari played an active role during the 2015 and 2019 elections and has continued to enrich the regime of the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retired), with her contributions.

Tinubu stated this on Thursday at the public presentation of Ms. Aisha’s biography at the Presidential Village, Abuja.

The book, “Aisha Buhari: Being Different,” was written by the President’s Senior Special Assistant for Administrative and Women’s Affairs, Dr. Hajo Sani.

Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos state, presided over the occasion on Thursday.

He said: “Given the achievement of the First Lady, no one can reasonably question the role of a First Lady anymore. Remember that there were those who argued that the constitution does not assign any official role to the First Lady. With Ms. Aisha Buhari, your worries have been forgotten forever.

“The first lady has played a unifying and uplifting role in both symbol and substance. She has been a voice of conscience calling us to be our best for the good of the nation and for the vulnerable among us. “

Buhari, who is currently in London for a routine medical checkup, is unavailable for the presentation that drew dignitaries from across the country.

However, he is represented by his chief of staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

But currently the event is adorned by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; his wife, Dolapo.

Other attendees are the Vice President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege; and Ms. Folorunsho Alakija, Special Guest of Honor.

The royal parents of the time are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Egbere Emere Okori Eleme, King Appolus Chu.
