After Paying $3m For Georgia Recount, Trump Loses To Biden Again

After paying $ 3 million for the Georgia count, President Trump loses to Biden again.

Nigeria online news reports that the vote count in the US state of Georgia did not offer any electoral redemption for President Donald Trump.

This online news outlet learned that President-elect Joe Biden has won again and Trump has lost.

In a highly anticipated announcement, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said that a manual audit of ballots in the state had confirmed Joe Biden as the winner of the November 3 election.

An audit was launched after unofficial results showed Biden leading President Donald Trump by approximately 14,000 votes.

Raffensperger said there was “no question” that the state would certify Biden’s victory on Friday.

“The audit has lined up very close to what we had in the election night reports,” Raffensperger told local station WSB-TV.

“It’s so close, it’s not a thimble full of difference.”

With all 59 counties in the state reporting their results, Biden has a 12,284 vote advantage over Trump.

The margin was only slightly narrower than the roughly 14,000-vote lead the president-elect had in the initial vote count.

“Georgia’s historic first state audit reaffirmed that the state’s new secure paper ballot voting system accurately counted and reported results,” Raffensperger said in a statement Thursday.

“This is recognition of the hard work of our county and local election officials who moved quickly to undertake and complete such a momentous task in a short period of time.”

Biden was declared the winner in Georgia last week, becoming the first Democrat since 1992 to lead the state in a presidential election.

Raffensperger ordered a full manual recount of the vote last week amid intense pressure from Trump and his allies, who repeatedly made the false claim that the election results were tainted by widespread electoral fraud and systemic irregularities.

Raffensperger has defended the integrity of the election, saying he ordered the manual recount only to reassure voters about the accuracy of the results.
