GAME OF THRONES season eight is still many months away but that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to decipher what will happen in the final series of the HBO show.Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers: Jon Snow’s Dies
Game of Thrones fans have been busy speculating how the show will end since season seven came to a close last year.
Now, one fan believes they have worked out how Jon Snow’s (played by Kit Harington) storyline will play out in the final series of the hit HBO show.
The viewer is certain it has been foreshadowed the King in the North will be tragically killed during a surprise attack.
In the final episode of Game of Thrones season seven, Jon and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) were seen taking a wight to the Dragonpit to try and convince Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to help them fight against the Night King (Vladimir Furdik).
When the wight was revealed, Euron Greyjoy insisted he would have no part in the war and walked off appearing to betray Cersei.
The Queen went on to pledge her allegiance to Jon and Daenerys before later confiding in her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) she had no intention in helping.
She also revealed Euron was still loyal to her and they had planned his walk out and he had gone to gather the Golden Company.
Now, one fan has revealed they believe Euron, who is leader of the Iron Islands, will make a surprise attack as Jon and Daenerys fight the Night King.
Reddit user darrylthedueWayne wrote: “In S7 some of the maesters are commenting on the loot train attack and one of them brings up the prophecy that the drowned God will rise up from the ocean and kill Aegon the conqueror.
“Could this be foreshadowing that Euron and the Golden Company will surprise attack Winterfell and destroy Jon’s army (maybe even take him hostage) and/or Euron will kill Jon/Aegon?”
While this is certainly a plausible theory, another fan disagreed insisting Euron will stay by Cerise’s side in King’s Landing.
“Winterfell is too far North and Euron is a ship captain,” ate4one replied.
“I think Euron will stay in Kings Landing with Cersei and help protect the Red Keep.
“Jon being the Son of Fire and Warrior of Light doesn’t have pure Dragon Blood and probably is not a Firewalker like Daenerys so I am thinking Euron lights the wildfire which could possibly kill Aegon the Conqueror.”
While it is not yet known how each character’s storyline will play out, one star of the show has revealed some details of the final run.
Iain Glenn who stars as Ser Jorah Mormont said there would be some “monumental set pieces” in season eight.
Speaking about the final series, he told Express.co.uk: “[They] read like the six best scripts. The final scripts are really special.”
He added the cast were “together for lots of it”.
