Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo has reacted to a police ban on protesting the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He has asked the Ghana police service to also ban general protests in the country’s capital.

This followed the statement by the Ghana Police Service that it has acquired restraining orders to prevent the NDC from protesting in Accra from now until 10 January.
However, Mr. Dumelo claims that the best decision on the part of the police is to ban all Ghanaians from protesting because they cannot just ban the NDC.
He stressed that they can protest under a different name, which will continue to sound the NDC agenda while opposing the EC results.
