Popular award-winning rapper “Chinko Ekun” met on Saturday night with the former governor of Abia state and current Senate whip boss, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

“Chinko Ekun”, whose real names are “Oladapo Olamide Emmanuel”, arrived at the Abuja residence “Aso-Villa” of the Senate Head of Whip around 3:15 pm in the company of his friends, IgbereTV reports.

The prolific, visibly excited rapper was ushered into the building and headed straight into the spacious visitor lounge to greet Senator Kalu, who was already welcoming other dignitaries.

Chinko Ekun, who won the Headies Award for Best Street-Hop Artist for the hit song “Able God,” exchanged compliments with Senate Chief Whip and was immediately invited to join the banquet.

The highlight of the visit was when Chinko performed his award-winning song “Able God” to the admiration of Senator Kalu and his guests. The performance reached a climax when Chinko Ekun switched to a freestyle session using background instrumental in which the OAU-ILE-IFE law graduate turned musician showed off his rap prowess. However, Senator Kalu surprised everyone when he stood up, motioned for Chinko to pause, and joined the rap session.

The Chief Whip also engaged youth in a short discussion session on relevant national issues and legislative support for the creative industry.
